The Making of My Shop
I finally got the keys to my new retail unit and it’s safe to say it needed a bit of work. Starting with the purple walls. They were maybe suitable for a tattoo shop, but not for me.
Next thing to tackle was the floor, I had wooden floors fitted. It took a lot of planning and I couldn’t get in to the shop to do anything else on those days but once they were down I was very happy even though it did a bit of a clean. It was starting to come together.
March the 30th was a busy day, the floor was all finished and two of our window films had been fitted. Thanks to the fabulous Amanda at My Vinyl Cuts. Sorry the pics in the gallery aren’t that great, but they do look fab.
The beginning of April was the biggest change – floor done, shelves/display units and service desk all built and last bit of decorating all done. Lots of deliveries arriving and now the fun part of getting everything out on display. Haberdashery was unpacked and on display, we have machine needles, oil, bulbs, velcro, hooks and eyes, snap fasteners, scissors, cutting mats oh too much to list. Stock was arriving almost daily!
