Fabric & More

Things were different back then

Over the weekend me and my daughter were looking through old sewing patterns my mum had kept from 50/60s and we were amazed at how much dress sizes have changed since then. Back then a size 16 was the equivalent of a modern 10/12. So now you know why Marilyn Monroe was a size 16. Going to frame some of the patterns to display in the shop, isn’t this one just stunning? I remember she gave it to me to play dress up and it ended up being ruined.
